Coffee with a Trainer Series

Have you ever questioned your fitness knowledge? Have you ever wanted to ask someone questions about how many repetitions you should do, how long you should hold certain stretches or what kind of workouts would be best for you?

Then make sure to attend “Coffee with a Trainer,” the SRWC’s workshop series targeted towards helping students better understand the fitness world! Happening on Wednesday, March 13 from 4 - 5 p.m., the SRWC’s personal trainers will host part two of a four-part series where they can meet and talk with students in a casual setting.

This particular session, titled “Program Design,” focuses on providing students with the information necessary to create safe and effective workouts. SRWC trainers will be there to assist in the development of personal fitness programs, as well as host a demonstrative workout.

Participants are encouraged to hang out with the trainers and ask any fitness-related questions they may have – all while enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea.

The first session of “Coffee with A Trainer,” which was hosted by personal trainer Diana Lopez, Cecilia Guerrero, Brittany Portello and Ashley Morataya, was a huge success! That session, titled “Strength Training for Women,” was designed to encourage women to come into the gym and get out of their comfort zone. Everyone left with smiles on their faces and, of course, a warm coffee in hand!

Can’t make it to the March 13 workshop? No worries! There are still two more workshops happening on April 10 and May 8.

Don’t forget to ask the trainers for a raffle ticket! One lucky student will win the ultimate fitness backpack, which includes fitness prizes like mini-bands and stretch straps. The SRWC team can’t wait to see you there!
